In recent years, climate-responsive design has gained significant attention, moving beyond its historical niche. However, the focus often remains quantitative, neglecting the ephemeral climatic spaces beyond traditional boundaries. These spaces, shaped by daily, monthly, or seasonal phenomena, challenge the interior. exterior dichotomy. Recognizing architecture’s potential, we see „charged spaces“ as dynamic entities influenced by evolving environmental factors. Architects can transform these spaces into active components through observation and re- sponsive interventions. This course explores the historical trajectory of climate-responsive design, urging you to understand and control the non-material, intangible dimension of architecture.
